Cardrona is one of the few places in New Zealand where you can overnight on the mountain. There are 15 self-catering apartment units situated in the main complex and only a minutes walk to the lifts. There are three unit configurations, studio (sleeps two), two-bedroom (sleeps four) and three-bedroom (sleeps eight).

The field is 34 km (35 minutes) from Wanaka and 58 km (60 minutes) from Queenstown. The 12 km access road is unsealed. Shuttle buses run from both towns during the season.
