Nelson Country Retreat is a luxury, 2 bedroom spacious (90m2), self contained and renovated hop barn with private rural views and courtyard.

The Hop Barn sleeps up to 6 people in a charming and unique rural setting, ideal for families or couples travelling together.

The location is idyllic for those looking for quality accommodation with a difference and who like to stretch out in superior surroundings; anyone who insists on an authentic Nelson country stay in a beautiful location.

Hand-feed the deer, then indulge in a fine local Nelson wine, or boutique beer, on your sun-soaked deck overlooking the animals grazing. 

The family pets are 2 cats and 1 dog (all very friendly).

The Hop Barn is set on a terrace and is on the second level, allowing for sun and rural views of our farm and the Richmond Ranges. Native Totara Trees surround the barn.

Nelson is an easy 25 minute drive away and the 3 national parks an equal distance away.

Location

The farm is located only 1km from main highway 6, south of the rural township of Wakefield, and just 25 minutes from Nelson city, at the top of the South Island, New Zealand.

There's so much to do on the farm and Nelson is famous for its art, crafts, wineries, beaches and national parks.

There are two bedrooms both with king size double beds, and you'll enjoy a different view from each room. Double glazing allows consistent temperatures during your stay, inside regardless of whether it's summer or winter.

The large bedroom has 2 king single beds as well as the king double.

Quality linen, electric blankets and bedding are tucked in and ready to slip in to.

Each bedroom has its own bathroom, both are fully tiled with large showers, toilets, hairdryers, heated towel rails, heaters, fan and quality towels.

Both bathrooms are spacious, with entry from the bedrooms.

The lounge has a cosy gas fire for winter evenings, CD player, TV and video player, and is adjacent to the dining area and kitchen.

The kitchen is modern and has every amenity including: microwave, oven with gas hobs, fridge, dishwasher, plunger coffee, a full range of cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils.

The laundry has an ironing board, iron, front loading washing machine and washing powder.

There is covered parking at the entrance to the Hop Barn.
